Publication Ethics
2025-06-01
- Published research must be original, innovative, and novel, adding new knowledge to the field. It should adhere to the rules of scientific thinking, methodologies, and language in presenting, discussing, analyzing, or developing ideas, trends, and topics.
- Respect for Non-Discrimination: Editors and reviewers evaluate research material based on its intellectual content, observing the principle of non-discrimination based on the author's race, gender, religious belief, political philosophy, or any other form of discrimination.
- Submission of manuscripts must be made through the journal's electronic portal. No research submitted through other means, whether hard copy or electronic, will be accepted.
- The researcher is required to provide a brief curriculum vitae including: full name, academic degree, affiliation, postal address, email, and phone numbers (landline and mobile) for easy and swift communication.
- The journal's editorial board subjects submitted manuscripts to an initial assessment to ensure compliance with the journal's publication standards.
- Manuscripts that do not comply with the publication standards will be returned to the authors to be revised according to the journal's publication guidelines.
- The editorial board is responsible for approving the publication of scientific research submitted to the journal, taking into consideration the scientific value, ethical standards of the work, integrity of the scientific research, language, citation, and plagiarism. The editorial board is committed to enhancing the scientific rigor of the journal by publishing research according to its importance, clarity, originality, and adherence to the announced terms and conditions for researchers.
- The journal is committed to complete confidentiality regarding the names of researchers and referees, and all matters related to review and evaluation, to ensure fairness and transparency in scientific arbitration.
- Referees must be specialized, experienced, and possess high scientific competence, while also ensuring geographical diversity.
- The decision to accept or reject a publication is based on referee reports and comments, the scientific value of the research, its originality, clarity, feasibility, and relevance to the journal's field of specialization, all according to the criteria specified in the evaluation form. A manuscript will only be published if it receives at least a "good" rating from both referees.
- Research review criteria revolve around: the scientific value of the research, its originality, its methodology, the consistency of this methodology with the research topic, the quality of style and wording, the relevance of the research topic to the researcher's main specialization, adherence to the journal's publication rules, reaching valuable results in the scientific field, and avoiding anything that violates scientific integrity.
- The researcher bears the costs of the manuscript review, whether it is accepted for publication or not.
- The Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the editorial board, nominates referees based on specialization and readiness to complete the review within two weeks from the date of acceptance for review.
- Manuscripts that do not conform to the journal's publication conditions and rules, or those submitted with an incomplete abstract in either language, will not be considered.
- Archives of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Translation Journal adopts principles of confidentiality and objectivity in the review process for both the researcher and the readers (referees). Master's and doctoral abstracts are sent to one of the two approved referees who are experienced and highly specialized in the research topic. In case of failure, the abstract is referred to a second presumptive referee.
- The journal requires the researcher to make the amendments requested by the referees.
- The researcher must make the required amendments within a period not exceeding fifteen days. If this period is exceeded, the journal will consider it as the researcher's desire not to publish their manuscript, unless a convincing excuse acceptable to the editorial board is provided.
- The journal reserves the right to amend the linguistic phrasing, style, and correct any linguistic errors without referring back to the researcher.
- The Editor-in-Chief and editorial board members are not obligated to disclose any information about the submitted manuscript to anyone other than the author, referees, potential reviewers, other editorial advisors, and the publisher as appropriate.
- Referees send their reports to the Editor-in-Chief via the website, and the feedback is sent to the author(s) for their benefit.
- Letters of apology are sent to authors whose manuscripts have not been accepted for publication.
- After the review process is completed within the specified period, accepted manuscripts are included in the journal's publication timeline.
- The researcher(s) must comply with the journal's "Publication Rules" regulations and approved writing style, and adhere to the principles and standards of research and publication ethics.
- All copyrights are reserved by the journal. No part of the research may be reprinted or republished, or copied in any form or by any electronic or other means, including photography, recording, or input into any information storage or retrieval system, without obtaining written consent from the Editor-in-Chief. The researcher himself may not republish their research or any part of it until after four years have passed and with written permission from the journal's Editor-in-Chief.
- The researcher can use their published research in the journal for academic promotions or to apply for an award. The entity to which the application is submitted is obligated to indicate that this research is published in the journal.
- Priority of publication is subject to the order of arrival and the scientific value of the research.
- Referees should conduct the review process objectively and must not direct any personal criticism at the author.
- Referees must also express their views fairly and clearly, providing supporting arguments.
- The names and affiliations of referees must be kept in a secure database that complies with data protection standards.
- Archives of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Translation Journal is committed to informing the researcher of the acceptance of publication without modification or with specific modifications, based on the review reports, or of the rejection of publication, with a statement of the reasons for rejection.
- Archives of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Translation Journal is committed to ensuring that no member of the editorial board or editors may use unpublished material contained in the research submitted to the journal for their own research.
